[17:47] Padishar Ishtari: What Lilah said. It's not standardized. A lot of folks use VtM rules, but it's not manditory or expected, even.

[17:49] Ophelia Applewhyte: it does give you a reaso nto talk to other players and when you are new that is really useful
[17:49] Astrid (astrid.floresby): for instance, art and I are the same "race" as far as the LaRPS is concerned, but our races are very different in how they are interpreted. They are based in different mythos

[17:52] Astrid (astrid.floresby): BUT that being said, let's say your character wanted to learn about vampires. You can find out ICly several ways, you can find a library or a bookstore and read books... (i.e. research! google is your friend) or you can find another player and ask questions.
[17:52] LegaciesLegacies is freeform, meaning the traits of characters need to be acted out within the bounds of plausibility and theme. It has been widely advertised that Vampires hate or can be harmed in sunlight, so a great deal of actors choose to play it to that. Within or creative flow, vampires, and other species, evolve as out imaginations take them to places. We do not write and strictly adhere to Hollywood Vampires, just something that is fun for all, plausible and most of all... fair. eg: A vampire that walks in sunlight, has Godly powers and cannot be killed. That kind of character goes into Godmod area and wouldn't be allowed. As for Lore... there are clues and heresay about species, such as Darkens. There is lore to be found and you'll find it consistent. Hope that helps.
