A response to Rune Shen'lungs Misinterpretation of Reality

My fellow citizens,
I pity Lord Rune Shen'lung. Honestly, I have a great amount of pity for his mental state. He believes I hate him, which is not the case at all. I do not have the time or the energy to waste hating someone who has caused myself, my colleagues, and those whom I consider friends more grief than is necessary during their excruciatingly long period of time living here. You forget sir, that I remember everything that has happened since my arrival. He also forgets that I have been attached to both the political spectrum as Vice Mayor and the medical sector as Administrator of the Hospital. He also seems to forget that I do not hide behind paper, but have told him on a great number of occasions that you are and remain a nuisance to myself and many others.
Therefore, allow me to clarify the events that have lead up to the point of me having absolutely no confidence in you, your character, or anything that is remotely associated with you once more gaining your idea of control over the city. For those of you whom do not know me, I am a Doctor of Hematology who gained his degree at University of Heidelberg in Heidelberg, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. In short, I study blood and treatments related to the circulatory system. Very shortly after my arrival, I had the unfortunate situation of having to handle a patient who had been poisoned, the blood rushing through their veins. I performed a bloodletting technique that involves using leeches to drain the subject of blood and pull the poison out of them. I then replace the blood with a saline solution in order to compensate for the loss while the body regenerates. It is not the most comfortable or pleasant procedure, but it works. Lord Rune was present as this was happening and began to scream that I was going to kill the patient with the procedure and greatly frightened the poor individual. Needless to say, I asked that he be removed from the hospital by the orderlies due to endangering the patient with his wild reaction. It was shortly thereafter that he began his crusade against the hospital.
For those of you who were not present in the city at the time, I shall also clarify what those events consisted of. These consisted of our then Mayor Rune Shen'lung standing outside the hospital on many occasion telling people that they should not go to the hospital to seek treatment because we were butchers who would kill them. To this day I have not a single death on my medical record, nor does Dr. Muircastle, but I digress. Rather than focusing on the actual problems that were going on in the city at that time; armed robbery, arsony, murder, political corruption, organized crime, and many other problems that we were facing, Mayor Shen'lung spent his time focusing on his hatred for doctors and the hospital itself. His family clinic was opened specifically to draw patients away from the hospital, as he himself attested to. His slanderous actions against the hospital grew so great that I myself took legal action against him towards the end of his last term as mayor. A formal public apology was requested, to which he stated in this letter that 'I apologize for causing a disturbance and pushing my views on you all. I did so for a reason and the reason is unseen by others so I will keep my mouth closed'. He then stated in this same letter that he and his family would be moving from London due to being 'unable to see how I will live in a home of no magic'. In this letter he failed to acknowledge that his actions against myself, my colleagues, and the patients that the hospital serve were wrong in any manner, but instead turned his apology letter into an attempt at pity.
The Lord Shen'lung has spouted on numerous occasions that there is not a person in the city that understands him. Yet, what is there to understand when a man cannot hold an intelligent conversation with opposing views without threatening another, growing furious, storming out of the conversation, or beginning a crusade of harassment against the individual? How amusing is a game of chess when one tosses the chess board across the room at the first sign of a loss? A man who cannot debate or converse without growing angry is a man who does not have the capability to expand beyond his own version of truth and see reality from multiple angles due to being blinded by their own rage against the opposing opinion. The city does not need a deluded 'hero' to save it from it's darkness, but rather an individual who can be presented with problems and examine them closely, find the root of the problem, and work to fix that. From all that I have seen in Lord Rune Shen'lung in my long period of time here in our ever dark city, he is not that man.
I say none of this in order to sway someone into voting one way or another. The fact of the matter is: Lord Rune Shen'lung made a statement that was entirely false. I do not hate him, I did not hate him the moment we met, and I shall not ever hate him. I believe him to be an imbecile with very little in the way of common sense and simple decency towards his fellow man. I believe him to be a man who pushes his ideas on others and if they do not agree with him, he begins a campaign of hatred and slander towards them. I believe him to be the very thorn that has plagued my side for many a day in this city. Regardless of all that, I hold nothing more than pity for a man who will never see past his own mask. I do agree that perhaps he should seek some form of psychological help in order to get past the problems he has had in the past with doctors, as he has obviously had a rather traumatic experience that he, even in his great life span, has not found the time to confront and move past. With that, I wash my hands of this rather boorish situation. If Lord Shen'lung wishes to speak to me on the matter further, I encourage him to set up a forum in which we can banter calmly and without him storming off half-way through the debate because 'nobody understands him'.

I am not going to get into the pure BS you wrote here but I will tell you this...All this talk of trying to get me to get some Sanity help...Its someones opinion of what a person is in their minds...I am not going to sit down and tell someone my problems so they can Judge me and tell me how I must get over something cause of their personal opinion..Something like yer doing. I am the judge of myself.. Someone that sits down and tells me their opinion of who I am and who everyone wants me to be is not something I will be subject to. Thanks for letting me know that you want others to judge me on who I am and what I do. I am not about to let you or anyone else tell me how to live my life and how I am suppose to be...some head shrink is not going to make me be someone I am not. I am not letting someone play with my head just because some people out there want me to be brainwashed. Thanks Anyway But NO THANKS.
That is not to say others do not wish to do such things but that's their wish...I do not wish to be brainwashed by someone to be someone I am not...Might as well put knife to neck if one is not allowed to be who they are and have the fears and knowledge of their past.
As I said though I am not reacting to the rest of yer mess I know why I came against the hospital and I will not go into such detail just so you can look good.
And if you want the truth since you did not search it out. THE CLINIC IS NOT MINE AND I DID NOT START IT. Come on you are a doctor you should at least search out the truth. My wife started the clinic on her own accord and for her own reasons. And that is hers to explain. And the Clinic was started WAY after all this occurred Adler so do get yer facts straight it makes you look stupid.
What gets me is people sure do have a lot of gall to question someone Else's sanity should shut their mouths and learn to take care of themselves and theirs Kinda Like I do when I do have something to say and come against something. But that is for another time.
I am done playing back and forth with hard heads and people who have little acceptance of others way of life. Its got to be their way or no way...Funny over my 30,000 years I have seen thousands of people die from many thing and that's my reason for not trusting certain things. But if someone wants to know why I do not trust certain things that's for them to come to me about. That has nothing to do with sanity that has to do with watching the things happen over the years. No person is without mistake and There is nothing in this world that is perfect. Adler you talk as if everything you do and other doctors do is without fail and will work 100 percent of the time. There is 3 members of my family buried in Ireland right now that will be my proof to that being false.
You think yer so perfect...I am sick of hearing how you never fail and how just cause you have some piece of paper from some school you are without mistake. You want track history come to me one day let me tell you about the doctors I have been around in my long life. You will see why I believe Magic healing is much safer. Sure there are Modern Medical practices that might be good but that is a personal preference no one has the right to force that on a person. And if I see a friend in danger at the hands of ANYONE I will attempt to keep them safe. As anyone would and there is not one person in this town that can tell them any different.
Now I am done bantering on with you I tire of listening and answering such rubbish. You say you do not hate me yet you have treated me like utter trash since the day you stood in front of me. Yet I guess you forget that. I do not care though I do not need you as a friend nor does the hatred you spew harm me any. Just one more person added to a list of others I totally ignore in town. It harms me little. Do have a nice life Adler....and remember...Yer not perfect.

Bare with me i'm covering things past and present...
Oh Lord Adler I have kept muh mouth shut for more than long enough and grow weary of what may spew from that foul corrupted mouth of yours you possess. If you do not have the time why do you keep sending things to the paper? Are you starting to warm up to muh husband; shall I be worried that you fancy a somewhat distant love affair with him? All joking aside from day one you have never cared for Rune in the first place and therefor never tried to get to know him so thus you speak out against him. Oii as for the hospital butchering people you say; now how can Rune slander the hospital when all he was saying was true at the time. Bare with me on this one because I know a lot of you will be outraged but the newcomers didn’t know the conditions of the hospital in which Rune spoke out against. Don't bother to tell me I don't know what i'm talking about on this when I know it first hand; i've witnessed it and had to clean up the mess it laid behind. I’ve had to fix mistakes so grave as decaying limbs, grotesquely and disfigured suturing, a number of internal and topical infections that could have been healed easily by modern medicine but overlooked if not been rushed to get the next patient in the bed, broken bones, possession, and anything ranging from the common cold to the worst of pneumonia which muh daughter suffered from and left in the back of the hospital near death with only a nurse to watch over an entire ward; I had to pull her out as I had been barred from practicing and she nearly died on me on the way home and I live in the castle behind the hospital if that tells you anything. I have witnessed doctors assault patients, feed on them as they lay helpless and unconscious! These are some of the facts as to why I started muh clinic for others to have a secondary if they didn't want to face the hospital not to steal patients but to give them just another option a option that provided magical healing for magical beings so they would not face the pain of surgery, leeching, amputation, ect. but it was their choice of course.
Further more doctor if you have ever ruled anything you would know it is impossible to rid anything completely of corruption. But tell me what other Mayor would take their sword out and fight to the death for their people? I'm sure many might claim they might and still be able to accomplish the many things he gave to this city. The Goddess knows he is no saint but no body is and he's not perfect and a far cry from it but damnit every time he stepped up to bat for this city he gave it his all. He has gone up against War several times almost claiming his life as War pinned him to the street with his own blade yet if he calls the shots according to you why would he even bother with it? Since You Sir know nothing of muh husband maybe you should keep quiet about things you simply do not understand. Rune commanding the horsemen is absurd but it's always the loudest that sometimes ring true. He works to rid the city of them so maybe ...is it you we should look at next that are possibly leading the horsemen since you have such outlandish ideas about him maybe we'll take a page from your book. And he is of sound mind and always has been trust me on that since I have known him over a couple of cen... oh wait I better stop I wouldn’t want to flaunt how old I am. Don't worry about his clarity because he has nothing to answer for especially to you of all people. This chess game you speak of he doesn’t continue with people like you when all you will do is twist his words as you seem to have a lot to say and if you think it’s so damn easy to fix a problem... do it... shut up about it quit writing letter after letter and be that ‘hero’ because you know what Adler you don’t have the stomach for it... never have never will.Oh yes doctor one last thing if you are so against muh husband and his views why don't you stand up and be a man about it. Take your opinions where they will count... possibly... and run against him in the next election of course that's if he runs again... or a duel. I'm sure he'd love that even better but this needs to stop now... both of you... dead horse... dead horse... yadda yadda yadda.
And one thing I want to make crystal clear concerning "MY CLINIC" and it’s this... Keep muh clinic out of your mudslinging from here on out. It wasn’t created to be everyone's personal political chew toy!!! It is a place of healing and renewal; but I forget if I have said this already or not but I’ll say it again. Regardless of who is voted in I will take steps to work with the hospital; there is no point in having a hospital if all it’s going to do is sit there and rot away. The way I spoke of it is how it used to be before Dr.Giada’s predecessor took over then it slowly progressed forward and that’s all we can hope and strive for. I only wish it to take more steps in towards a better and bright future. I know how I have spoken of it but I will commend the hospital that it has bettered itself on how it operates. I have a few terms and conditions of muh own upon if such an agreement is to be made and hopefully for the sake of the people the hospital and I can see eye to eye as I am a simple woman and have never wanted for much but of course this is all riding on if they wish for me to work with them again.

It was quite an eventful day with the interruptions and it was a bit confusing so I leave you with most sincere apology as it was not intentional. Dr.Furman you were a grand opponent for Rune and I congratulate you on a very successful campaign and truth be told I really am glad it was you he faced past problems or not. I wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors wherever they may be.

I'm sure he'd love that even betterMy client Lucifrage had planned a dual of honour with the man, but its hard to get a fair fight out of a fae playing sleeping beuty. my client also DID run against him. Rune however knows not how to debate... in the debate with Dr Mors he seemed to simply follow her lead and agree with most of what she said, with everyone else rather than offer proof or reason he simply called it rubbish without even trying. Now, in philosophical terms its reminiscent of the saying that you cannot have a battle of wits with the unarmed.
THE TRUTH
Rune was NEVER given neither psychiatric evaluation nor a recognized autopsy, I would suggest his supposed death is merely a ruse to let him slumber until he thinks the sins, slander and crimes of his past have blown over, no doubt he will come back miraculously from the grave with amnesia and pretend he is all smelling of roses and beneficent. Personally, i don't trust this rune being, he's so crooked he won't even lie dead, mark my words, between the trauma of being found out of so many crimes and slanders during an election he seemed surprised anyone would contest him with, and losing, he's just gonna make us all suffer the nonsense of his tribe, who even now seem mere puppets repeating his twaddle from beyond the grave... assuming its even a tomb and not just his bolt-hole and wine cellar!
When and if Rune feels like coming out and paying for his crimes and slander, My client lucifrage is waiting.

You know as I read this the first time I was a bit perturbed but then on the second time around I could barely utter a response to something as pathetic as what you wrote. I am glad the death of muh husband amuses you for it says very little of your character and that you are simply a man of very little regard for life whatever the form may be. Can't you and others like you let a family grieve in peace or is that to complicated and should you rather see us beside our loved ones in a coffin? For you to speak out like this I have no idea what we did to you for you to act like a total jackass. Oh as for needing muh head read by a professional who the hell says YOU are qualified to make that assumption? Let me educate you dear Sir I am quite clear and level-headed and I know what the hell I am doing and have been muh whole damn life for centuries and so does Rune he wasn't an Archmage for nothing! And if you had read what I said I clearly stated that the things I saw wrong happened before and during Dr.Giada's predessor and that after she took over things slowly started to progress for the better; and this is not slander it's all it's fact.
Now as for Rune faking his own death I assure everyone and the public this was no ruse. But as always I must educate you and maybe a few others on dragons and so forth. Dragons do not die unless they want to and they only wake unless they want to. I can't bring him back to me unless he wants it badly enough in his subconscience.
I can't help but laugh when you say your client was going to accept a duel from him and Rune is not a fae you nitwit! And as far as the debate goes yes he does know how but I have to give Mo her props as she did say a lot of good things and when that happens you really cannot argue with the person now can you.
Now for your supposed truth I will tell you this his body lays in his coffin in muh residence nor will I allow him to be cut upon for future reason if and when he decides he might find the will to rise again. As for 'amnesia' he has never suffered from it the last few times he has risen so you have no need to worry with that one and he has no psychiatric problems but I guess when people protest against something you despise them for it I guess it makes it easier for you to label them psychotic doesn't it? These crimes you speak of I would actually like to know what they are because if you had any proof of them the constables should have picked him up a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time ago for such things. Especially if he were a murderer of course oh which he is not.
I will leave you with these final thoughts... do not mistake me as a puppet I am far greater than that for who do you think controls a man such as Rune? But he has tremendous strength to hold back the symbiote Souludus from taking over and going on a rampage throughout the city and slaughtering you all. If you wish to see a murderer then I invite you to try to wake the inner beast that slumbers deep within Rune's core.
