((The concept behind my latest character came from Anjolie Criss for the Character Lottery and I wanted to incorporate all the story elements that Anjolie suggested. This character, who I named D'or Golda, is a ghost trapped inside a gold coin. Anjolie's concept was that D'or would be passed around to several different characters. I didn't really know how to RP the coin getting passed around to other characters. So far, D'or's been in Reggie's possession the entire time. So I decided instead to start a Chain Story where the coin falls out of Reggie's possession after he's attacked in Cinder's castle. I'll post the first part of the chain story and each of you who would like to take part will add on a section in which your character comes into possession of the coin (perhaps someone uses it to pay you for a service, you pickpocket someone for it, you find it lying on the street, you steal it out of a wishing well, etc.), you describe how you carry the coin (in a purse, wallet, or in the case of some ladies hide it between your bosom), what happens to the coin while in your possession, what sorts of things does the coin witness while in your possession, and ultimately how it leaves your possession (do you use it to pay someone, is it stolen from you, do you accidentally drop it, do you toss it in a wishing well, etc.) There's no length restrictions on your postings and, while you're allowed to if you can do it in a cohesive manner, you don't have to assume you got the coin from the character who posted right before you. For instance, if Adra posted before Anjolie, you can assume there were two or three NPCs who possessed the coin after Adra/before Anjolie. Be creative and fun.))

    D'OR GOLDA AND THE COIN

A flawless gold coin etched with a pentacle on one side and a Celtic cross on the other was flicked into the air with a few droplets of blood. It flew over the railing from one of the towers of Cinder Darkfire's floating castle. D'or Golda, the ghost trapped inside the coin, braced herself as her tiny prison plummeted down to the earth below.

The coin hit the roof of the Fiendish Pleasures establishment, making a metalic clang as it bounced down the slanted surface of the building and flipped through the air, falling to the street below where it bounced once more, spinning a few seconds before settling on the cobblestones.

D'or trembled within the coin. She had not enjoyed the plummet from the sky at all. She looked around, able to see outside her golden prison. Gazing at her surroundings, she determined she was back in London - or Legacies, as many folks now called it. All she could do now was wait for someone else to take possession of her.

She did not wait long, for a shadow suddenly loomed over her and a figure bent over to pick up her coin...

Valene SilverPard bends down to pick up the coin that her glowing eyes spot when gets to her place of employment. Turning it over in her hands curiously, she sees the inscribed symbols on it "Well this is certainly an odd looking coin to see just laying around. Wonder why the street urchins didn't grab ya, ya pretty shiny coin" She whispers to the metal held in her palm. She runs a solid black claw over the surface of the coin testing it's durability as she meanders into Fiendish, her low cut silks showing off her curved body sensually as she moves with a feline's grace. The dim lighting of Fiendish would reveal more about who is actually holding the coin, which unknowingly to the holder, is a very subtle prison.

Calling out greetings and getting kisses, varying on the sexuality (hey they're a bunch of demons!), Valene makes her way into her domain: the Bar. She sets her new-found treasure on the bar as she starts to gab at the other bartender Clarice, laughing her smokey laugh before bending over to grab up a clean cloth, picking the coin back up and giving it a suitable cleaning, making it gleam. Her eerie glowing eyes watch stare down at the currency before sending it looping between nimble thin fingers, all the while still talking. the coin accidentally slips out of her fingers and lands with a clank on the bar, drawing the attention of the only customer that was sitting there. The customer gets up and wanders to the bar to see what had made that racket. Seeing the coin, the customer holds out one hand and picks it up,admiring their reflection in the shiny clean surface. Valene spots the being's interest in the coin and winks coquettishly 'The coin can be yours for as little as a kiss hun...gonna give the pretty neko one?" The customer blows her an air kiss before walking out of Fiendish, coin in hand

((Hope that was what you were thinking about))

Vedis steps up seeing the man blow Val a kiss, her lithe hand pressed against his chest. "She said...a Kiss...Sir." she murmurs, her tails flicking amused though she held none in her eyes, "And you can pay the house for the privlage." she takes the coin from the man's hand has he grins and return's to Val's side, laying a deep and whiskey tasting kiss upon her lips before she mewls and swats at his chest playfully.

Vedis smirks, tucking the coin into her cleavage. She turns and heads out the door, getting a much needed breath of fresh air as she makes her way to Mr. Barnes, inventory in hand.

She makes it all of three blocks before she looks up as a shadow falls across her page, she grins seeing who it was. A few minutes later she was back on the road to Barnes once more, the little coin strangely missing from where she had tucked it. It's loss was hardly felt, though the little spirit inside it would forever remember the sweet smell of honey that always seemed to emanate from her flesh.

((Sense no one posted a continuation to the chain story in a while, I thought I'd give it a go. None of my characters are particularly familiar with Vedis so I decided to just assume that whoever took the coin from her passed it on to another NPC before it landed in Dire's possession.))

Dire Thorn handed Borris a bag of coins as the ghost placed the sausage down on the table. As he started to eat, the spectre floated away, only to return a moment later. "You over-paid, Constable," the ghost said, placing a few coins back on the table. Dire collected them, not taking note of the new coin he added to his coinpurse, decorated with a pentacle and celtic cross. He ate his meal and then returned to his patrols.

As Dire headed down the street, he heard a growl emenate from an alley and paused. Looking into the darkness, he saw two yellow eyes glaring back at him. The creature charged and Dire soon recognized the rabid dog he often saw hanging out around Underhill.

"Ah, my old nemesis!" Dire spat. He crouched in preparation for the fight.

The dog leapt at him - and then past him. Dire felt something ripped from his belt. Watching the dog run off, he didn't look down at his belt until after the dog disapeared around a corner. Dire's eyebrows rose at the empty spot on his belt where his coin purse once was.

"You thieving bitch!!!" Dire roared, charging after the mongrel.

D'or braced herself inside the coin, jingled and banged against the other coins in the purse as the mindless dog barreled along various alleyways. She couldn't see anything inside the purse but she could hear the dog's breathing and the padding of its feet. She also felt the dampness of the dog's saliva as it seeped into the leather of the coin purse.

Dire thought about shifting into his Lycan form to tear the dog apart but figured that might disturb the citygoers. He managed to catch up with the stray and grab at the coin purse, struggling with the dog in a tug-a-war. "Let go!" he ordered.

D'or could hear the leather ripping and sighed just before the purse exploded, sending about sixty coins flying up into the air. Dire fell backwards and landed painfully on his ass as the dog rushed off with some of the purse still clenched in his teeth.

Dire sat in the alley, looking at the scattered coins for a moment. "I joined the constabulary to fight crime and defend the city," he said morosely, "not to chase fucking strays!" He got onto his hands and knees and started scraping up coins, which he tucked into his pockets. His gloved hand missed D'or's coin, as well as a few others, but he was too tired and frustrated to be meticulous. He stood up, brushed himself off, and headed back towards the center of town to complete his patrols. D'or's coin sat forgotten in the alley, dirtied from mud and a little rodent scat.
