   [2010/10/16 11:07] Leigh Huet: I do have the honor of being one of the moderators in this sim and have been RPing here in Legacies for a year now, My character has been in development now for 3 years and one thing I have learned about RP is that no matter how long you have been doing it be it 1 week to 12 years...your alwasys learning something new about it

   [2010/10/16 11:08] Leigh Huet: let me first ask you a question. what is so important about details?

   [2010/10/16 11:11] Leigh Huet: now let me ask you another question, are these details needed in every post?
   [2010/10/16 11:12] Aceriah Moonwinder: to some extent, you want details in every post, but it depends on the situation at the time, just how detailed your response is
   [2010/10/16 11:12] Lydia Cremorne: I wouldn't put too much detail in a dialogue post, personally, but otherwise, yes.
   [2010/10/16 11:12] Kitari Elfenbeim: personally.... I think its a delicate balance
   [2010/10/16 11:13] Jitterbug Haggwood: i'd think it depends on what you are trying to do in a particular scene
   [2010/10/16 11:13] Nell Moonstone: no.. posting can be long detailed .. or short, a rapid fire of dialogue.. depending on the situation
   [2010/10/16 11:14] Leigh Huet: ok I will say now that one has to becareful with that rapid fire posting only because RP is about give and take there are times a quick answer is all that is needed

   [2010/10/16 11:16] Leigh Huet: and there in is an example of why details are important for your intention is one thing but a full thought helps the others so they understand your intention. That is why details are so important

I am going to do a post from my characters perspective I would like each of you to react to that post based on your character and what you know of me please do not use information from others just my post only ok?

   [2010/10/16 11:19] Lady Leigh walks in within her hand is a bottle, there is a stopper upon the bottle she lazily swings it around and then places the bottle in the middle of the room she then steps back and only says one word. "enjoy"

   [2010/10/16 11:20] Lucian Vondran spins the bottle and waits for it to point at her victim...he hopes it will be him.

   [2010/10/16 11:20] Lydia Cremorne: Lydia looks closely at the bottle Leigh has left, hoping it contains some Gin

   [2010/10/16 11:21] Nell gazes to Leigh and then the bottle bemused " If this is that game they play on gin lane, really its not my cup of tea "
   [2010/10/16 11:21] Wyld reaches to her belt pouch and takes a small flask and with a well practiced secretive move, she takes a sip and tucks it away, preferring her own fine scotch to what ever might be in Leigh's bottle
   [2010/10/16 11:21] Nicolie narrows his brows looking at the bottle, scratching his chin as his focus seems to deepen on the bottle he is actually watching Leigh through the bottle trying not to make it obvious he is watching her
   [2010/10/16 11:21] Aceriah: "notices the lady enter the room and my eyes travel down to the bottle she slowly sets down on the table, noticing an amber liquid filling the lower half of the bottle"
   [2010/10/16 11:22] Leigh Huet: ok how many had some difficulty responding to that?

   [2010/10/16 11:23] Fate looks at the bottle happily . She looks at Leigh "I didnt ask for any more but thank you very much" She puts the bottle into her pocket. "Do I owe you anything"
   [2010/10/16 11:23] Saerrn arches a brow, a bemused smirk on her face as she'd watch Leigh place the bottle in the center of the room. Crimson eyes darting back to Leigh's face she'd chuckle, 'A bit of poison in there?"

   [2010/10/16 11:23] Lydia Cremorne: Mainly because I wasn't able to incorporate what I know about you into the statement - you weren't giving much away

   [2010/10/16 11:30] Lady Leigh had been standing in the shadows there was a fine crystal cut glass bottle in her hand with rose etchings the stopper though cork also had a fine chain attached to it and the top of the neck of the bottle, she steped quietly out of the shadows to the center of the room and looked to each some she nodded others a gleam showed in her eye some casual for there were many she knew and many she did not she placed the bottle in the center of the room where she stood for those with a delicate sence of smell would have an indea of the scent of alcohol she then gracefully departed and said in dulcet tones. "enjoy"

   [2010/10/16 11:34] Saerrn arches a brow as she'd watch Leigh slip from the shadows, hands cupped over another-right over left, she'd allow a wry smirk to cross her face as her gleaming crimson eyes would run across the others in the room, waiting to see if anyone would actually step forward to sample what waited for them in the bottle.\
   [2010/10/16 11:34] Wyld knows better than to indulge in bottles besides her own... could be poisoned, could be blood, she does get thirsty though, and sneaks another sip off her own bottle... and relaxes, feeling the delicate burn of her throat "ahhh"
   [2010/10/16 11:34] Lucian Vondran nods to Leigh as she enters, watches her gaze as it traverses the room, his eye gets immediately captivated by the crystal bottle in her hand and wonders what is inside..his nose is not able to detect the contents, but her words gave him confidence, so he picked up the bottle, uncorked it and swallowed down a few gulps, smiling at Lady Leigh.

He always enjoyed doing so without thinking.. her eyes turned towards ady Leigh.. the chains.. the crystal .. the bottle seemed expensive, she wondered curiously why someone would leave it.. her eyes turned towards Him again.. waiting for a reaction

   [2010/10/16 11:37] Fate wiggles her nose at the faint whiff of alcohol. It is so faint she cannot tell if it is her favourite rum of other liquid "What are we enjoying Miss Leigh?"

   [2010/10/16 11:38] Lydia Cremorne: The kind of bottle, the contents of the bottle were hinted at and you gace us your attitude as well

   [2010/10/16 11:40] Aceriah Moonwinder: you stated the type of bottle, crystal, and the scent of the contents... and you stated you knew some but not others in the room

   [2010/10/16 11:41] Kitari Elfenbeim: but in my characters eyes you glancing at people you knew could be giving them a message to not touch the bottle

   [2010/10/16 11:42] Jitterbug Haggwood: *nods* the attitude hinted at would tell my character you're up to something and she'd, of course, wait and watch

   [2010/10/16 11:43] Leigh Huet: even though the details are there one thing we as players need to be careful of and that is not to skim over the RP. pay attention because it can also bite you in the butt..winks

   [2010/10/16 11:44] Leigh Huet: ok now let me add another thing that some of us forget about in SL we all have 5 senses but there really is only one that we have here and that is sight, even then our avatars are not always doing what we are RPing

   [2010/10/16 12:09] Nicolie Luv: stands on the roof top his eyes glaring intenlty down on the city, as he focuses in on a crowd he has been wtching for a while, remaining in the shadows he jumps lower so he can hear their words, hopingto catch them in the act of their plot.

   [2010/10/16 12:10] Leigh Huet: as you can see how the details make a difference in everything be sure that even when in a stressfull situation be it to help or harm to give the details you will find your RP much more enriched by it.
