[11:05] Faith Diesel: it has combat in it but its main function is to keep rp fair and record your characters progress in whatever direction you want to take them

[11:09] Faith Diesel: so having said larps is about quality rp, we need to know how to rp using the larps
[11:10] Faith Diesel: i think most of you have got the hang of it but lets make sure
[11:10] Fate: "The /2commands allow you to RP using the HUD which allows for your stats such as verbosity to be improved. The most used are /2 for speech and /2m for actions. (using /2)"

[11:28] Nellie Meads: You can look at someone and curl your lip in derision. . . maybe it means that you hate them, maybe it means they have something stuck to their teeth.

Why dont you tell us what you really think about this point of mention? Is it truely as it seems?"

[11:31] Nellie Meads: Part of my character's story line is that she frankly tells people what she thinks of them, but ~not~ what she's up to. So, Nellie says, "Listen, Mono, you satanic bastard, my demon is bigger than you so don't bother me."

[11:37] Deteric Furyo: such as like that which i did to you, by using persuasion to make you spill your true thoughts on a topic to the group, against your will?
[11:38] Faith Diesel: exactly Furyo - you targeted me so you got a roll and i got a resist roll
[11:38] Faith Diesel: so the outcome was luck
[11:38] Deteric Furyo: and you werent so lucky?

[11:39] Faith Diesel: there are 5 outcomes in larps
[11:39] Faith Diesel: success and fail are the most usual
[11:39] Faith Diesel: then there are 3 uncommon ones
[11:39] Faith Diesel: stellar success, bare success and critical fail
[11:40] Faith Diesel: stellar success is the perfect result of your attempt
[11:40] Deteric Furyo: and gets you a great big piece of pie
[11:40] Faith Diesel: like not only hitting the target with an arrow but getting the bullseye
[11:41] Faith Diesel: or getting the royal flush in poker
[11:41] Deteric Furyo: oooh
[11:41] Faith Diesel: bare success is a partial or temporary success
[11:41] Deteric Furyo: And in discovery rolls with ST's at a location, it means you become aware of SOOOOOOOO much
[11:41] Ariel Liveoak: ...and critical fail is when you cut off your arm with the cake knife :D
[11:42] Faith Diesel: grins - for discovery we usually have about 6 things you can discover - sometimes more
[11:42] Deteric Furyo: My favorite crit fail was about a week or two ago
[11:42] Faith Diesel: if you get a bare success you might get 2
[11:42] Faith Diesel: success 4
[11:42] Faith Diesel: stellar 6 facts
[11:43] Deteric Furyo: Magick School, tried to send a wave of water at another student. Crit failed my roll.. The wave backlashed, pushed me down the spiral staircase.. it was ugly..
[11:43] Faith Diesel: grins - critical fail is such a bad fail that others might be affected too
[11:43] Faith Diesel: grins - i love crit fail
[11:43] Deteric Furyo: in learning situations, a crit fail makes my mind shut down for a few recovery rolls
[11:44] Deteric Furyo: and i take in no info
[11:44] Deteric Furyo: those are sad days
[11:44] Nellie Meads: Ok, to do this, we target someone and roll the dice
[11:44] Deteric Furyo: you post first
[11:44] Deteric Furyo: with your desired intention attempt

SEE HOW IT FEELS!"
