welcome everyone I know we have a lot of experienced players and a few new one's for the New players I will say welcome to Legacies. One of the most unique RP sims here in SL in that we believe in full immersion

[17:08] Lady Leigh Luv: like a human can try to shadowstep through something but they may find that they do everything but that
[17:09] Lady Leigh Luv: if the abilities do not fit the RP that you are attempting then you are to ask yourself this..

[17:12] Lady Leigh Luv: critical fail - OhCrap: Target is in noway affected but the deliverer gets affected by the action instead (transfer)

[17:12] Lady Leigh Luv: bare success - Barely: Target gets some affect but can be brushed off
[17:13] Lady Leigh Luv: success - Perfect: Target is somewhat affected
[17:13] Lady Leigh Luv: stellar success - Better than perfect: Target is vastly affected
[17:14] Lady Leigh Luv: we will no longer be using the d4's

[17:20] Artur Lionheart: Since d'4s are no longer in use, what is the mechanics behind when someone is injured behind bare success, success, and stellar success?
[17:21] Lady Leigh Luv: think of the levels I just told you here is an example

[17:21] Lady Leigh Luv: I get a bare success
[17:21] Lady Leigh Luv: you could RP in dodging that it skimmed over your skin...not even a bruise
[17:21] Lady Leigh Luv: success...it hit you hard enough you felt it
[17:21] Lady Leigh Luv: stellar success you are now seeing stars
[17:22] Catt: it'd be like bare success = rolling a 1 on a d4
[17:22] Artur Lionheart: that kind of puts the onnus on the player being affected, and in my experience here leads to godmoding

[17:37] Lady Leigh Luv: just as you would want your rolls and actions honored do the same for your fellow players

[17:37] Lady Leigh Luv: or if an ST is present just be calm and say that you felt your line was not honored

[17:53] Lady Leigh Luv: when there is a roll the system looks at both stats

[17:53] Lady Leigh Luv: the meter just does it all at one time

[18:00] Steampunk Saori: I know, but I'm saying once they have accomplished it, is there a way to try and resist the sustained effect? Like it works, but if they tried to make you hurt yourself, something that the self-preservation of the mind would be willful against.. it seems like you should be able to attempt some sort of resist roll to overcome the command.
[18:02] Lady Leigh Luv: you can always continue to fight and depends on the RP Saori...but remember there are two sides to every coin...a lot depends on how it was done
[18:02] Lady Leigh Luv: it is again one of those type of questions that cannot be answered directly here

[18:02] Steampunk Saori: But is there a roll that could be used to support it? Being able to assist yourself maybe?
