   [05:16 PM] Artur Lionheart: Here is example from a gmae I was part of, and also an example on how IC knowledge can lead to concepquences depending upon how one acts on it. In this game, the Crown Prince had been declared dead, for a good 10 years. I was told by the moderators that my character firmly believed the Prince was dead. Then in a plot, it turns out there was a person claiming to be the prince and alive. Since I did not believe it to be so, I told my romantic interest that he was an imposter. Now care to hazard a guess how that turned out for my character?

At times you have to step back and think at "Okay, if I run this thing, what are the possible outcomes that could happen, is this goign to be help encouraging rp, or limiting rp, if it limits rp, are the people involved okay with that oocly?

   [05:22 PM] Artur Lionheart: It was a great plot he run, and it got lots of people in the Sim involved. but it also put him in a limited rp role since he was kidnaped, and having hsi priovated turned into paste off screen >..>

Still there might be others that don't like to have there characters limited, so when craftign a plot involving others, its not a bad idea to go over a few broad details. don't give away all the fun, but get an understand that players will be fine with what their role might be

   [05:26 PM] Ragnar Ergaron: I eventually got the feeling my "spector" char running around might be bit of a cheat when Rags was supposed to be under heavy sedation...but it was fun.
   [05:26 PM] Artur Lionheart: another thing to touch upon, when your character does do an action, own up to it. The wife over there *waves cutely to sapphire* was running a plot for me once in a game, and one of the players had this potion that he knew nothign about. he wantd to drink it, so we told him to drink it. then he said "but is this going to kill me, I don't want to drink it if its going to kill my character."

   [05:39 PM] Artur Lionheart: There are rps that cane help Evivien. in one RP, we had a person shoot another character dead, and I managed ro rp bringign them back to life. conflict rps liek this are a good way to stir things up and get lots of people invovled. liek do the victems need medical assistance? if they do, then we get the players in the hospital involved

   [05:51 PM] Artur Lionheart: that and that is the case here in modern law as well. if the crime is henious enough, the state can act in the victims stead to press charges. mind you for some crimes like theft, breaking entering, assault, it helps if the victim files charges, but the prosecution doesn't need them too

   [05:53 PM] Artur Lionheart: So what we have here is a great rp tool here to have lots of fun, but keep a firm handle on that this game is for fun, and IC is IC and OOC is OOC, and when someone isn't having fun, it might be a time to take a step back, and look at where the rp is going, and what might be done so people are back to having fun
