    (part written in advance)
Jacob adjusted his grip on the pull-bar and leaned into it, feeling the weight of the cart behind him. "Bloody thing seems to be getting heavier," he muttered to himself. "Come on Moe, put some bleedin' effort into it." Jacob looked over his shoulder and started yelling. "Bleedin' 'ell Moe! This ain't a soddin' taxi. Get off the flamin' cart and push, you lazy bugger!" He sighed loudly and shook his head as Moe grinned at him and jumped off. "And put your bloody fag out! You heard what Ned said about these acids and stuff." He turned back to the front and leaned on the pull-bar again. "I don't bloody know. Might as well do it my bleedin' self for all the good he is," he muttered. Moe just laughed, pinching out his cigarette and tucking the dog-end behind his ear.

"I pull my weight," he said, putting both hands on the back end of the cart and pushing with a grunt.

"Yeah, right. Except, I seem to have been pulling your weight for the past ten minutes," grumbled Jacob. "Ma was right when she said you were a lazy bugger." He adjusted his grip and concentrated on steering the cart away from the tram tracks.

They carried on bickering in this fashion until they got to the corner by the cafe, where Jacob had to lean hard into the pull-bar to steer the cart around the corner. "Hold onto those bottles for a moment, Moe," he said, looking nervously at the carboys of acid. "Don't want to be dissolving the cart, and for all I know, parts of the street." He steered gingerly and slowly until the corner was safely negotiated.

"What do she want with all this acid stuff anyway?" Asked Moe, peering suspiciously at the skull and crossbones on the labels. "She said it was dangerous and volovent, or something like that." Jacob shrugged.

"How the bleedin' 'ell should I know?" He said, pulling the cart the last few yards past the cafe. "She's a doctor of some sort. Maybe she uses it to dissolve the bodies of patients who don't get better." He breathed a sigh of relief as they stopped outside the house. He leaned the pull-bar against the side of the cart and kicked on the brake. "Here, make yourself useful. Go knock on the door while I get the paperwork out." He grinned as he watched Moe give the carboys a wide berth before jumping up the steps to the front door.

.... (and as RPed, with minor edits for spelling etc)

Jacob watches in amusement as Moe skirts round the cart, staying well away from the volovent acids, and scurries up and knocks on the doctor's door.
The large brass knocker strikes the old wood of the door, making a knocking sound.
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter moves over to the door and opens it, "Ah you have my chemicals. splendid please bring them right in."
Moe: "Your delivery, miss, where do you want it?"
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter: "Right on inside, and do be careful, I do not need your bodies splattered all over my office."
PearlGrey steps back, well out of the way.
Moe squeaks in fear and runs back to the cart. Jacob looks up and laughs. "Don't tease the poor boy. He's worried enough about these volovent acids as it is."
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter laughs lightly, "Of course...though really alone they are not explosive, though when mixed they are....tend to heat up rather quickly....of course you would not want to spill either acid on your person...would melt through flesh rather quickly."
Jacob pulls the assorted sacks from around the first carboy and lifts it up, carrying it carefully up the steps.
Jacob: "Where shall I put this?"
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter smiles, "Just right on the floor over here will be fine. I will get it to my laboratory by portal."
Jacob: "As you wish." He puts the carboy down and goes out and fetches the second one, glaring at Moe, who is still cowering in the corner.
Jacob: "Moe, quit whining and bring the coal in while I deal with this stuff."
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter watches as they bring the supplies in, "How much do I owe for the items you are delivering today?"
Jacob deposits the bottles of glycerin and jars of sulphur and watches while Moe struggles with the coal. "Hang on, I have the delivery note and invoice here." He pulls out some paperwork from a pouch.
PearlGrey fumbles in the drawer for funds to tip Jacob and Moe.
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter takes the invoice and begins to go over it for a moment, "So, 785 coins then? Well that is reasonable enough." She opens her purse and takes out 820 coins. "This should cover it along with a healthy tip. Go and buy Moe a new pair of pants, I think he shit himself he did."
Jacob & Moe struggle between them with the mercury, but eventually get it in without a hitch.
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter gives some money to Nathaniel Ballard
Jacob grins. "Well, it wouldn't be the first time that has happened." He cuffs Moe on the back of the head. "Just sign one copy of the delivery note to confirm you got it all. Mr Barnes is very keen on that these days."
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter: "Oh just hand it to Pearl she does all of the signing.""
Jacob smiles at Pearl, "If you wouldn't mind checking that everything on the note is here and signing, that would be great, thanks."
PearlGrey walks over and glances at the note, looking over at the supplies. "Looks like it's all here." She smiles and hands it back to Jacob with a smile.
Jacob doffs his cap, "Thanks, miss Pearl. A pleasure as always. We'll be out of your way now, and I'll take Moe home and get him to have a bath, even if it isn't his birthday."
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter laughs, "Thank Mister Barnes for getting me my supplies. There will be more that I will be needing in the upcoming days."
    PearlGrey chuckles.
Jacob smiles. "I am sure he appreciates the business. Not as much as he appreciates the money, but it's pretty close. Just give us plenty of notice for the more obscure stuff. Especially if it involves volovents, eh Moe?"
Anjolie Criss sees a lot of movement through the window. Slowly she opens the door, "Everything ok in here?"
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter: "Yes, yes dear, they were just delivering my supplies, I can now make nitroglycerine."
Jacob takes the signed delivery note and turns and smiles, "Good evening miss Anjolie." He then stops and looks at the doctor. "Nitroglycerin? Ain't that some kind of explosive?"
PearlGrey Resident gave you To Mr Barnes from Pearl Grey..
Anjolie Criss shudders, "Great .. can't wait to blow up London." She'd smile to Jacob. "You look well Jacob. Have you lost a few pounds?" She'd playfully pat his belly.
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter looks to Jacob. "It is used in dynamite, and other explosives yes, but my purpose is not so. I am making it as a medicine. it works very well in battling heart conditions, and relieves chest pain.
Jacob smiles bashfully, trying not to look at Anjolie's cleavage. "I may have, mostly through doing the work of two men." He cuffs Moe again.
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter: "Well gentlemen, is there anything else or did you want to gawk at my secretary's breasts for awhile. they are quite lovely are they not?"
Anjolie Criss winked at him, "It suits you. Keep up the good work - I'm sure all of the ladies of London are requesting you deliver their packages."
Anjolie Criss dramatically like a showroom girl she moves her hands around her breasts to accentuates Katherine's words.
Jacob blushes and coughs a little. "Well, far be it from me to comment...." He takes refuge in looking at Pearl's note. "Ah yes, the fencing gear. That came in last week. Did you not get a note about it?"
PearlGrey looks eagerly. "No, I didn't. I wasn't sure if Mr Barnes could get it. Please tell me how much I owe and I'll get the funds from the bank and pick it up."
Anjolie Criss, to Katherine and Pearl, "Is everything here?"
Jacob nods, "Yes, we have it. I believe it was less than 300 coins, but I couldn't say for certain."
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter smiles, looking to Anjolie for a moment then to Pearl, "well now, I suppose I should get to work." She moves over and haphazardly picks up the bottle of nitric acid flicking the side of the bottle slightly and shaking it, "Mmmm sounds full....."
PearlGrey nods. "It is and Katherine paid for it so the funds in the bank are the same as last week. I can get you another receipt just like it if you wish."
Anjolie Criss smirks to Katherine, "Won't be happy until all of London is a crater, huh?"
Anjolie Criss: "No bother Pearl. I trust it's all in order." She's smile warmly.
Moe squeaks and runs outside. A few moments later, there is the sound of a match being struck and some rather enthusiastic puffs on a cigarette.
PearlGrey turns to Moe. "All right, I will pick it up soon. Will someone be at your place of business for awhile?"
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter winks to Anjolie, "Oh dear, it is not going to explode without the other ingredients...though if it did break open we might not have skin for a bit."
Jacob looks over his shoulder at where Moe ran to, shaking his head. "Well we are taking the cart back to the warehouse now, if you want to tag along."
PearlGrey rubs her arms and shudders at Katherines words.
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter: "Anjolie dear, we have a body to conjure!"
Anjolie Criss sighs, "Please Doctor .. I happen to like my skin. And yours .. and Pearl's."
PearlGrey: "I have to get the money from the bank first. I am so afraid of pickpockets."
Anjolie Criss blinks, "We do? Oh and Chai also asked me to help at the apothecary from time to time. I keep meaning to tell you but forgot."
Jacob looks at Anjolie again, having recovered his poise. "And very nice skin it is too, please don't burn it." He turns to Pearl. "Well, I have some other stuff to do there, so as long as you are there within the next hour or so, I'll be there."
PearlGrey nods. "If you don't need me for a bit, I'd like to get this business settled."
PearlGrey rushes out without waiting for an answer.
Anjolie Criss nods to Pearl, "Yes ... go get your uniform before Barnes tosses it into the sea." Then, to Katherine, "Where do you want to conjure said body?"
Jacob smiles. "Well, if that is all, I had better get Moe back home. Good evening ladies."
Anjolie Criss wiggles her finger at Jacob.
Jacob nods and exits, gathering up Moe and pulling the cart down the street.
Doctor Katherine Foxtrotter: "Okay lets get things taken care of shall we?"
