So you have a meter and have lots of questions, You find yourself IMing others wanting to know how the darn thing works...What are these RP coins all about? I am defeated and healed but can't get up, now what? What is this hunger all about? I have been to this class but still have more questions? Well this is the class for you!!!!
Come to my hands on training for the LaRPS. special bonus questions to earn XP and XP given for full participation...Limo's offered at time of class.

[11:08 AM] Leigh Huet: this is not a combat meter like the DCS or CCS
[11:08 AM] Leigh Huet: this is a RP tool and really is like the brain of your character
[11:08 AM] Leigh Huet: it does learn
[11:09 AM] Leigh Huet: one of the ways it learns is first by using the /2 or /2m for your RP
[11:09 AM] Leigh Huet: the /2 is direct quotes

[11:10 AM] Leigh Huet: the /2m is for when you wish to do an emote or descriptions with talk combined you will have to be sure to do your own quotes

[11:11 AM] Leigh Huet: by using the /2 the more your RP will show in one of your stats called verbosity. you intelegence and wisdom will also be affected for the more people you speak with the more versitile your character is

[11:15 AM] Leigh Huet: but if they have been around others can RP that you have heard that language before

[11:17 AM] Leigh Huet: the first three things are in regard to you health strength life
[11:17 AM] Leigh Huet: we are not a combat sim where you will have another run up to you and bash away
[11:17 AM] Leigh Huet: however we do have NPC's that you can combat
[11:18 AM] Leigh Huet: so health is how many hit points it takes to get defeated
[11:18 AM] Leigh Huet: you are NOT dead
[11:18 AM] Leigh Huet: only unconscious
[11:18 AM] Leigh Huet: you can move though not very well...if you stay in the defeated state can RP that you are dragging yourself slowly
[11:19 AM] Leigh Huet: one of the unique things about Legacies is that we RP everything that happens on the game floor
[11:19 AM] Leigh Huet: so if you lag into the water and have a character that cannot swim use it in your RP
[11:19 AM] Leigh Huet: for your character will drown..lose consciousness
[11:20 AM] Leigh Huet: I will tell you one thing you MUST revive before you heal yourself
[11:20 AM] Leigh Huet: if you do not you will get stuck in the defeated state
[11:20 AM] Leigh Huet: so first use the command /9reviveme
[11:20 AM] Leigh Huet: RP awakeing
[11:20 AM] Leigh Huet: the rest you can RP by going to the hospital
[11:21 AM] Leigh Huet: the next is your strength
[11:21 AM] Leigh Huet: it is not just how much weight or strong you are but it is tied in with your endurance
[11:21 AM] Leigh Huet: as your fight NPC's your strength will go down
[11:22 AM] Leigh Huet: if you let it go too far just like in RL it will affect your heal and your character can colapse from exhaustion

[11:22 AM] Leigh Huet: you can RP using /9healme in many ways, applying herbs, bandaging a wound or some time of magical means
[11:23 AM] Leigh Huet: the next is your life force
[11:23 AM] Leigh Huet: that is how much life you have if that gets to zero then your character is dead but can be resurected you would just need a character that has that ability
[11:24 AM] Leigh Huet: OOCly there is no permadeath unless you chose it for your character

[11:26 AM] Leigh Huet: just like RL if you don't eat your blood sugar goes down you don't have as much energy and have difficulty thinking the same goes for your character

[11:27 AM] Leigh Huet: as we said we RP everything so begin the mantra with me...if your character needs the information, "find out ICly"

[11:28 AM] Leigh Huet: just like you would coming to a new city in RL same for here when you come to Legacies, they need to learn where everything is, you would start with the basic necesities and go from there

[11:30 AM] Leigh Huet: I will tell you there is one way you can RP finding food and use the /9gorge command
[11:30 AM] Leigh Huet: this is taking your power, which I will talk more about in a moment and converting it to an energy source for your character
[11:31 AM] Lady Leigh picks mushrooms found on the forest floor in Torn Oak and prepares them for eating
[11:31 AM] Leigh Huet: then use the /9gorge
[11:31 AM] Leigh Huet: that will fill your hunger up to 50%
[11:31 AM] Ceallach picks up a rat off the street and rips into him, getting some meat off the skiny bones!
[11:31 AM] Leigh Huet: the rest of the food please pay attention to how much hunger it fills...and all of it is based on your character
[11:31 AM] Ceallach performs Make Food on themself.
[11:32 AM] Leigh Huet: any questions about the hiunger?
[11:32 AM] Klayra Ahren: if my char doesnt eat, what will happen?

[11:33 AM] Leigh Huet: you will die of starvation and it will affect your stats

[11:33 AM] Leigh Huet: you go to do dice rolls and your not well fed it will affect your numbers
[11:33 AM] Grinoliere Varriale: So at 50% or so it will become anissue? What percentage would be a threshold for action?

[11:34 AM] Leigh Huet: it starts around when one is peckish and grows from there
[11:34 AM] Leigh Huet: your stats will lose there top value and I will also show you where you can see that soon
[11:35 AM] Leigh Huet: there are four types of protection
[11:35 AM] Leigh Huet: the first is your melee...this is a buff for how hard you hit
[11:35 AM] Leigh Huet: there are 4 different buffs you can chose from
[11:36 AM] Leigh Huet: please click on an open area of your hud and then chose equip
[11:36 AM] Leigh Huet: you will see your choices there
[11:36 AM] Zena successfully equips a pair of weapons.
[11:36 AM] Leigh Huet: if your character is one light on their feet and fast then it would not make sense to apply the slow heavy weapon
[11:36 AM] Leigh Huet: please chose one and apply your melee for me
[11:37 AM] Ceallach successfully increases their melee damage.
[11:37 AM] Zena performs ShadowStepper on themself.
[11:37 AM] Claire Anne Walters successfully increases their melee damage.
[11:37 AM] Leigh Huet: there is no cost in power to apply your melee
[11:37 AM] Grinoliere successfully equips a swift weapon.
[11:38 AM] Nystyrre successfully equips a pair of weapons.
[11:38 AM] Ceallach successfully equips a pair of weapons.
[11:38 AM] Leigh Huet: all of these should be RPd when applying them on the game floor
[11:38 AM] Leigh Huet: the next is your Armor
[11:38 AM] Leigh Huet: this is just like it sounds
[11:39 AM] Leigh Huet: a protection from being hit
[11:39 AM] Leigh Huet: the hits will not take as much from your health as it would without it
[11:39 AM] Leigh Huet: I will also tell you that just like a knight you can find a blacksmith and purchase with RP coins better armor
[11:39 AM] Leigh Huet: but
[11:40 AM] Leigh Huet: once you purchase it
[11:40 AM] Leigh Huet: and if you apply your armor again you will only apply what you have NOT what you purchased
[11:40 AM] Leigh Huet: the amount of your protections again is based on your stats of your character
[11:41 AM] Leigh Huet: the next two are protections against physical abilities...the shield and cursing abilities the anticurse
[11:41 AM] Leigh Huet: these are not available till you reach level 15
[11:41 AM] Leigh Huet: and require 10,000 in power each to apply
[11:42 AM] Leigh Huet: all of these protections can also be broken possibly by another player from a small percentage to all of it in one shot
[11:43 AM] Leigh Huet: to find the shield and anticurse click on an open area of your hud and go to Master
[11:43 AM] Leigh Huet: that is where you will find it or...you can just click on any of the words in your hud
[11:43 AM] Ceallach performs Blue Aura on themself.
[11:43 AM] Leigh Huet: if you want to apply armor just click on the word
[11:43 AM] Zena performs ShadowStepper on themself.
[11:43 AM] Nystyrre performs Curse Shield on themself.
[11:43 AM] Leigh Huet: now the next on your hud is your power
[11:44 AM] Nystyrre performs Blue Aura on themself.

[11:44 AM] Leigh Huet: if you have not noticed already you will find that number climbing as you sit here

[11:44 AM] Leigh Huet: the more there are the faster it will grow
[11:45 AM] Leigh Huet: if the player is a high level your power will also grow faster
[11:45 AM] Leigh Huet: the power is required for any ability or magic dice rolls found in the PvAbility

[11:54 AM] Leigh Huet: I will tell you that tri believes that RP should be about fun not about money so he makes it so that you can enjoy your game without needing to put a lot of lindens into it especially on weapons

[11:55 AM] Leigh Huet: just hold your left mouse button down use your arrow keys and your avi will start moving to hit another that will be covered in more detail in another class

[11:56 AM] Leigh Huet: if you wear it the last icon on your hud will draw that weapon
[11:56 AM] Leigh Huet: it is also a ranged weapon in that you can throw it
[11:57 AM] Leigh Huet: this is very plausable for the time period for unless you were a constable in London in 1891 most did not walk around with weapons showing
[11:57 AM] Leigh Huet: so you could RP pulling the dagger from yourboot
[11:57 AM] Leigh Huet: or from a cane
