We at the London News extend our most sincere condolences to the friends and family of Lord Rune Shen'Lung.

The city had to find out the tragic news via parchments distributed by Katherine Foxtrotter. While the London News spoke of Shen'Lung and his questionable past and his behavior, we never wished harm on him.

Claudia le Fay spoke to Shen'Lung's brother and learned much of the man behind the facade. "The manner of Lord Shen'Lung's death is tragic and I wish good health and a prosperous future for his family," said Claudia le Fay on the sudden news.

It is noted that Shen'Lung died as a direct result of a self-inflicted wound to his throat. His throat had been slit across, severing the major artery.
It is said that Lord Shen'Lung congratulated Morsmordre Furman on winning the title and position of mayor, and when learning of a rumor that he would murder Furman, he took his own life. His name had been dishonored and he chose to die to rid the town of himself. This is all according to Shen'Lung's foster brother, who's name was not mentioned in the conversation between le Fay and himself.

The London News also extends congratulations to Morsmordre Furman on winning the mayoral election and expect great things in the future.

Rest in Peace, Lord Rune Shen'Lung. We at the London News hope you are at peace.

Artur Lionheart de Morhban has asked this to be published in the London News.

"It is with a deep and profound sadness and grief that we of the Unseelie learned of the death of Rune Shen'Lung, an ally to the fae, a person of deep personal honor, a skilled warrior that was second to very few in this existence, and a person deeply respected. Our deepest sympathies go out to Evona and Clan Shen'Lung in this time of grief and sorry and know that we the Unseelie know of your pain, we feel it, and it is our wish that if we could we would take it away, but we also know to do that, to heal the wound of grief too soon, would be to demean and cheapen the life Rune lived. His passing should ne noted, it should be raged against, it should be painful and the world know if it, for he was a person worthy of such deep and profound emotions."

"I do not write these words to gloat, or to make light of the events surrounding Rune's death. It is no deep secret that Rune and I never saw much eye to eye, and had our fair share of clashes of personality since my arrival in Legacies. Still, despite our differences in the outlook on life and personality, he was still among a very small group of people that held my profound respect, either as an ally, or an opponent. As such my words are heartfelt and sincere."

"With the passing of people in life, their presence is often like sticking one's finger in a glass of water. Once in the water, our finger looks larger, more imposing, details of the skin, the texture, the perfections and imperfections both, more noticeable. It is easy to see how the finger's presence in the water is a force to contend with the water's environment. Take the finger out of the water, remove it from that environment, and while there is a minor disturbance at first, the rippling of the surface, the mere absence of the finger, the memory of it, what it left behind, is not enough to stop the water from rushing back in. It does so, riding out the violent and angry clashing of molecules with molecules to become a seamless whole once again, waiting for the next finger to think it is important enough to affect it."

"I say that is the scenario with many, and we have known more than our fair share of people, acquaintances, friends, loved ones, that have passed on here, but I will contend that Rune is not a finger in a glass of water, but a finger in a glass of sand. What he did was not always clear, not always logical to us, and often we might have wondered where his motivations were, but when that finger is removed, there is a space there, a void that the sand does not readily rush in and fill, an emptiness, a hole, and it is clear to see that something is lost, something is missing, and the sand knows, the environment about it knows, and remembers."

"Rune Shen'Lung was a finger in the sand. No, we did not always agree, no he was far from easy to deal with at times, especially when he had set his mind to task, yet that stubborn purpose is what made him such a person to be respected. For good or for ill, he had his vision, his ideal on how to make Legacies better, how to protect it, how to save those that could not save themselves. He often did so with little regard for how he would be perceived, for even less compensation, and in a place full of people that would rather wait and see what the next day brings, or complain bitterly about how bad the previous day was, he acted and did all he could to make sure that this minute, this hour, this day, mattered. One need not be a personal friend, loved one, or to even like him personally to admire and respect him and his dream, and what he did accomplish, often with his own two hands, or talons, and else little in support."

"The Goddess ease you along in the Twilight passing to the West, Noble Warrior. May the Consort give you praise and take your arms, to tell you that your duty is done and you can enjoy the reprieve you so deserve. May the last embrace of the Mother comfort you and know that while gone, you are far from forgotten, even by those that never had reason to name you friend, but always had cause to admire and respect who and what you were."

    Sincerely,

    Artur Lionheart de Morhban
Prince of Twilight of the Unseelie and Champion of Winter
