Every-time I hit "enter", instead of sending my coment, I get another line return in the field

  2. TriJin | August 29, 2011 - 12:56 AM

Did you try closing your browser and re-entering the page?
I see no problems with it. Also ensure you are using the latest web browser. Such as Google Chrome 15+

Had same thing happen today with IE 7. Went to type, hit enter, then got the error on page icon at the bottom. Started up new session and everything. This was working fine yesterday when I was at work. Here is what it says

"Problems with this web page might prevent it from being displayed properly or functioning properly. In the future, you can display this message by double clicking the warning icon displayed in the status bar.

Internet explorer does not work very well. I suggest you get the google chrome or firefox to use as a web browser and you will no longer see the issue.

I have no other choice but IE from work. As I said it worked fine yesterday :(

It's cos you are using InfoPath... Try using a decent web browser like FireFox, Chrome or Safari.

The problem is due to the interface of the IE engine in InfoPath. Many sites suffer from this, which is why many people are scraping IE. It's too slow, anyway :)

I was using chrome though Tri and was getting the same problem. This has happened to me on and off for the last two weeks. One minute chat will work, and than the next it doesn't

  12. Artur Lionheart | August 31, 2011 - 05:03 PM

It's working today, but as I said at work I have no choice but IE. Watchdog programs remove any other web broswer as they are not authorized. Trust me I have tried four time to install Firefox and it gets uninstalled the next morning

*sighs* i've been unable to chat since last week. I am using the most updated version of google chrome and have updated my java. Still no go

Are you using a shared internet connection that could be possibly restricting certain javascript, cookies etc. Try connecting using a different PC or access point.

Typically University connections are terrible for restricting access.

  15. Joshua Taggart | September 12, 2011 - 05:13 PM

    Hmm,

My company utilizes WebSense, so I get stuck with a Quota of time allowed per day.

Javascript and Flash both barely work, mostly due to the restrictions they have on my computer. I just find it that larps.net isn't blocked. I mean the SL website is blocked for game, guess it's cause yall don't use meta-tags with "game" in it lol

PS: I can't use the chat today either, but worked fine Friday. I'll just try tomorrow, hopefully it will work then :P

  16. TriJin | September 12, 2011 - 06:05 PM

There could be a block on iframe content... try using this URL and let me know if you are able to use LaRPS chat:

  17. Joshua Taggart | September 12, 2011 - 06:54 PM

Yeah, they block a lot of iFrame content but also .JS content. It was working ALL last week, then I shut down for the weeknd. Doesn't work anymore, but it's cause WebSense sucks @SS lol
